This page explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. By default, we set only strictly necessary cookies. We do not provide a site-wide cookie preference panel in this version of the forum. Non-essential third-party embeds (for example, the BattleMetrics server banner) are loaded only after you explicitly allow them via an in-banner prompt (two-click approach).
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser at a website’s request. They allow the site to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and perform other functions. Cookies may be stored for a single session or for longer periods. Cookies not set by this site (third-party cookies) are not accessible to us.
Cookies and similar technologies we use
- Strictly necessary – required to operate the site and provide core features: session management, security, load balancing, and remembering that you opted out of non-essential embeds. These cannot be switched off.
- Preferences / Functional – remember settings like language, theme, and display options.
- Analytics – help us understand site usage (e.g., page views, time on page) so we can improve performance and content. These are set only if you consent (when applicable).
- Advertising / Measurement (if enabled) – used to measure ad performance or deliver interest-based advertising. These may be set by third parties and require your consent.
- Embedded content (BattleMetrics) – some pages can display an iframe provided by BattleMetrics, LLC to show a server status banner. We implement a two-click approach: the banner is blocked by default and loads only after you explicitly allow it in the banner. When loaded, BattleMetrics may receive your IP address, device and browser information (including user-agent), the page you visited (referrer), and may read or set cookies or similar technologies on your device. BattleMetrics acts as an independent data controller for its processing. For details, please refer to BattleMetrics’ own privacy disclosures on their website.
How to manage your choice for the BattleMetrics banner
You can allow the BattleMetrics banner directly in the in-banner prompt (“Allow & load”). If you previously allowed it and wish to withdraw your choice, use the button below. Withdrawal will block the banner on future visits until you explicitly allow it again via the in-banner prompt. This action affects only the BattleMetrics embed on this site.
